Storytelling and Circus: Bringing Voice and Body Together
Limited Capacity filling up

For over 20 years I have worked on my aerial Roman Rings while performing various stories (narrated with my voice) that are complemented and illustrated by my physical choreography. Some of the stories have been original fairy tales, others have been fables, and my most recent work is with autobiographical narrative. My workshop takes students through the process of identifying what story (and what genre) they want to work with, creating that narrative, and learning how to go about editing and adapting it as they develop their choreography. Short exercises will help them learn these skills and equip them with tools and ideas they can take away to work on their own complete storytelling acts after the conference.
